The main advantage Jeuveau has over Allergan Botox is that unlike the latter, it is only a cosmetic solution. This allows the company that made this Botulinum injectable – Evolus, to maintain a lower price without sacrificing the quality of the product. In fact, apart from Botox, Jeuveau is the only other solution in the Botulinum segment of the market with a 900 kDa size of the molecule (essentially, the gold standard). It is also the first products since Botox, with similar chemical properties and effect, to get an FDA approval.
In terms of its effect, Jeuveau 100ui offers an effective treatment of severe glabellar lines of three months, on average (same as Botox) and is safe if properly injected into the muscles. The FDA licensing was only given after extensive testing in the US, but also Canada and Europe, with a combined test group of over 2100 patients. Test results have proven Jeuveau to be more effective and with overall better properties than other neurotoxin based injectables like Dysport or Xeomin, making it a direct competitor to Allergan Botox.
Usage of Jeuveau Botulinum products
Jeuveau should always be administered by a trained doctor and only be used for its intended purpose. Jeuveau is only a cosmetic Botulinum solution, which is injected into the muscle tissues to reduce their ability to contract and hide the existing or prevent the formation of new glabellar lines. Should not be used by children, minors or patients who are allergic to one or several of it’s ingredients or patients who have suffered adverse side effects after the injection of other Botulinum products like Botox, Hutox, Dysport, Xeomin etc. Should not be used by pregnant women or mothers who are breastfeeding.
